The Best Birthday Present Ever

I turned 33 on the 25th of this month. I'm not crazy about my own birthdays, but I was excited to see what my girlfriend, Heather, had been working on. Well, it was better than anything that I could have imagined in a hundred years: an embroidered portrait of one of my favorite Portlanders of all time, Captain John Heard Couch.
